I saw a few Rado clocks here in Hong Kong.
Don’t you agree that each of these clocks should sport a clock movement by the watch company on display?
But I'm afraid it is a static display, you don't have any other functions. It is next to a bridge between 2 mountains peaks which was sponsored by Tissot, if you pass by Switzerland I would definitely advise to check it out: https://www.glacier3000.ch/fr/information/webcams
Duh, well I always like to make a fool of myself before my first morning coffee!
That place is beautiful. My favorite hike is down the glacier, you go through some challenging rocky landscape and then ends up on ice. View is amazing, and that was were I saw eldeweiss flowers for the very first time.
I can't speak to the quality of those being seen in airports, or museums, as they may be official pieces from parent organizations, but I have seen similar quartz clocks available on Amazon and ebay that resemble watch faces. I first chased them when I saw wall clocks that resembled my Omega SMP and my Anniv. Sub. At the time I thought, "I need one of those!" However, I didn't consider the cost, a couple hundred at the time, worth the battery operated clock. Although, I still wouldn't mind one. I recently saw a Rolex clock, fluted bezel surround, on a wall at the Air and Space Museum outside of DC. It was sharp.
Damn it, this thread may get me looking for one. Again.
For example, Omega. I was able to find Panerai, Patek, Audemars, and Tag with a cursory Amazon/ebay search. Some even reflect a glowing lume!
Borrowed this from one of the sales posts:
