    I prefer the 42mm to 44mm range.

My wrist is 9 1/2 inches so a larger mm watch looks better. As a matter of principle I won't buy a watch less than 40mm.

I sure wish the Daytona was 39mm, lol. -Z-

    It depends.

A 34mm vintage is OK, and a 44.5mm Seiko Sumo is also OK. A 34mm diver would be too short and a 44.5mm calatrava a monstrosity (always IMHO).

Re: What's Your Preferred Watch Size?

    I have 8" wrists and own 39, 40, 41, and 42mm Rolex Watches....

    Here's the thing....
Over the past 3 years, I've passed on several Ceramic Daytona (at 40mm), and THOUGHT I wanted the Red-Sea-Dweller-43.....
Then I PASSED on the SD-43 this year, and recently bought the ceramic Daytona.....because I like the smaller, less chunky cases I guess.

If I could only have 1 watch, it would be my Explorer at 39mm.

I'm looking for ANY excuse to buy a couple of 36mm but seems a tad small for constant wear for me.

So the answer for me is 39, 40, and 41mm....
    The Day-Date-40 seems perfect too!

For my 7.25” wrist, 39mm diameter is my favorite size. As my favorite lug to lug distance is 47-48mm.

My current daily is a Black Bay 41 but my ideal size is 39 on my 7.25” wrist.

I have about a 16cm (~6.25 in) wrist, and I think 36 is perfect for a dress watch and 38 stretching to 40 for a sports watch.

But I'll extend beyond either way if I see something I really like!

Re: What's Your Preferred Watch Size?

I like 39-41mm depending on the watch, so I went with 40mm for my sweet spot.

My wrist goes from 7.25 on the coldest winter days to 7.75 on the hottest summer days. The 5mm easylink turned out to be a feature I really like and use.
