So I keep my small collection of watches in my gun safe, there's not enough room for all the boxes and the other day I was thinking I should lock up the warranty cards too so I took them out of the boxes and put them in the safe too. Anyone else lock up the warranty cards too?
I leave them with the watch case. Too many prior bad experiences when I stored things separately, i.e. warranty card in a difference place to the box. At least a box is large enough and they are stacked neatly at the top shelf of the wardrobe.
I gotta be careful on this forum, I already got some grief on another post for saying I collect guns and knives as well, some of our friends on here think your a psycho if you own either!!!
My AD is just the nicest... offered to safe keep mine in their vault in the back. At least for a year he said- absolutely free of charge too. What a swell guy.
I keep them in the original box along with the spare links, pins etc. I keep everything associated with the watch, in the original box.
I then know where everything is. :-!
I keep them in the boxes in a drawer. The boxes do take up quite a lot of space so I have been contemplating putting them in a sealed plastic box in the loft, which I think would be more secure.
I keep my warranty cards and spare links in my bank safety deposit box. I rarely need them and want to keep them safe in case of theft or fire etc. for insurance purposes.
I took photos of all of my watches, cards, boxes etc and stored them in a cloud and also e-mailed copies to my insurance Company. Otherwise I store cards in a 1900-century drawer which has 8 hidden compartments (which are almost impossible to find or open - took me good 6 months to find them all and get them opened.)
