Okay, I'll play along. I can see that the OP has joined WUS for 5 years now and has low post. Hopefully, you have spent some time to read the various threads and get an idea of what you are asking.
All corporations exists to make money and they create products at various price points to cater to various segments of the market. In watches, we have;
Rolex and Tudor - although Tudor is not exactly "Cheap"
Seiko has the Grand Seiko as top tier, regular Seiko and cheap as chips Seiko 5, oh, then there is also Orient, Alba
Swatch Group has Breguet, Jacquet Droz, Blancpain, Glashutte, Omega, Longines, Rado, Union Glashutte, Tissot, Balmain, Certina, Mido, ….
People on the forums believe that possibly Omega, Glasshutte and Blancpain are line ball in both price and quality to a Rolex. A Longines is probably competitors with Tudor.
Tissot is like; way, way, down the food chain. It is competing with the likes of watches in the USD$1,000 price range. So in order for them to do that, newer movements are made of plastic and they also offer quartz watches. Here lies your answer as to why Tissot is priced so much lower.
Besides, have you handled the two watches side by sides? Oh, I forget... there aren't any in the Rolex stores for you to try on.
