2 week old watch - moisture under the crystal

Well this sucks...I've had my Engineer Master II Marvelight for a little over 2 weeks now and went on a trip to Hawaii this week; and I've got significant moisture under the crystal. I've never showered with the watch on, much less submerged it in anyway. It appears the humid environment in Hawaii caused the moisture to accumulate? Crown is fully tightened, assuming the caseback or seals are defective.

Wow, I've never seen that happen. Obviously you need to contact Ball, either through your local AD or directly, depending on how you bought it.

If you bought new, and under warranty, don't tell us about it, bring it to the Ball dealer you bought it from, and get it repaired or replaced--that obviously should not happen--pretty simple.

IF, however, you bought graymarket or used, then there is a strong likelihood that the case was opened before you got it, even if the seller claimed it to be new, and was not sealed properly--in this latter case, this is not an issue with Ball, but with the previous owner.

    Which is it?

2 week old watch - moisture under the crystal

Wow @trappster, that is a very bad incident of moisture.

It sucks but as @timefleas said it, warranty is covered by Ball Watch if youíre the first owner and bought from a Ball Watch AD. The warranty must also have been activated.

Tough luck if itís from a grey dealer because the Ball warranty is not transferable. And as he said, it is likely the watch case had been opened.

None of this information was mentioned in your post.

Irrespective of whether you bought from an AD or grey, the watch needs to be opened up and cleaned before any corrosion sets in.

Yikes! Look like my shower door after a long steam bath.

Good luck. Get it fixed ASAP.

Purchased brand new, warranty is valid. Emailed the authorized dealer that I purchased from, will also be contacting ball once I'm back home from Hawaii next week and have access to my warranty info.

not if it were mine, they'd be sending me a complete new watch, not repairing that one.

Nice, and exactly how woud you be forcing them to give you a new watch versus performing s repair?
