    Is Aviator for me?

I like the Ball watches and I always tell myself to get one, but I now have opportunity to snag an Aviator.

Now, 46mm scare me. I had 45mm Edox class 1 GMT and thought it was too big on my 7.5inch wrist.

However, my 44mm MM does not look too bad at all.

The Edox was VERY thick and I believe Aviator is thinner than Edox.

    Maybe it would work.

What do you think? Now, if I just had 8"+ wrist..

Does Aviator have curved lugs? Maybe that will make it more comfortable.

I have the Aviator GMT and I think its amazing. The GMT is a 44mm case and I think it fits me pretty well. I would love to have the larger 46mm case, but I need the GMT for flying. The case is average, so I would not call it thick. It measures 13mm. The lugs are curved, but they are not curved passed the back plate. My camera is dead or I would post pics for you to see.

Am sure either selection would be fine, but the Aviator GMT is, as AFBLUE states, is a really fine fit. Glad you enjoy it Lt.

I did "try on" Aviator GMT.

I found the size to be non-issue (with 44mm size, that is), but this one is 46mm.

    Maybe it will work. :)

    Re: Is Aviator for me?

On the wrist, the 46mm Aviator seems a bit smaller than it is, due to the slimmer case and relatively simple bezel & case construction. One option to make it feel even more comfortable is to swap out the strap for a fitted, curved leather strap that hugs your wrist.

I did not think the Aviator would work for me, but after wearing it around at the Basel Fair this year, I think I have been swayed toward big watches!

Sounds great Crusher!!! It is simply amazing. Last night my wife noticed it in the middle of the night in the hallway and was amazed at the lume. The brightness far exceeds any tritium tube watch I have seen, and I also own a Ball Moonphase and the T rated original NightTrain.

If you need an AD recommendation, shoot me a PM.
