    Ball Alligator **pics**

Enjoy some pics of my Ball Alligator, #670/1000. An exquisite piece.

Measuring in at 42mm, it is just the right size, and beastly heavy due to its 16.8mm thickness.

Nice. Initially I felt my Ball "mad cow" kinda heavy on the wrist. But later doesn't feel a thing after wearing it for awhile.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliment on the pics. These do still pop up from time to time on the sales forums. That is where I got mine a couple months ago... using a WTB ad.

    Best,

Nice pics. Wow how good does that clasp look! Rolex SA, take note (first thing I did on my Sea-Dweller was ditch that Oyster bracelet they fob us off with).

The Alligator is an amazing and beautiful watch. Love the gulloche and the extra size and height over the standard. I have an Engineer Hydrocarbon TMT that I love, but the Alligator is making my credit card relieved they are sold out!!!!

Loved the pics, very detailed and great focus! Nice job

Cheers and hi from the UK

Wow! I love the 'Gator. It's what influenced me to get the Mad Cow. But I was wondering why they didn't make the day/date wheels black with white lettering? I think that would really "up" the cool factor!

I agree that white on black day/date wheels would look better, but I have a hunch that Ball knows that black on white wheels are easier to read and therefore fit their functional criteria better. I'm just happy the day and date windows are together... That was always a peeve of mine with some Ball models like the Mad Cow.

I've had my 'gator just over a year - an awsome watch. Number 879.
Mark, have you tried putting the rubber strap on it yet?
If not, you're in for an astounding installation. Getting both screws all the way into the second lug is almost impossible - and you've got to do it twice.
It's a great strap though. And a rather unique timepiece, too.
