    Ball Aqcuisition Syndrome

It started out with a couple vintage watches (that I really don't wear), and started looking at their offerings. Loved the 60 Seconds, but couldn't find anything anywhere near what I was cmfortable paying. Then I got a great deal on the black Fireman Victory... such a beautiful watch and that kicked the acquisition syndrome into high gear. A couple months later, I missed out on a sale here for the 60 Seconds and soothed the hurt with a white Engineer II Ohio as I really wanted a Ball with a white dial.

As of today, however, my personal Ball grail watch is being sent to me... the 60 Seconds. To say I'm excited would be an understatement. Hopefully, I've sated the beast enough to not buy any more watches for a while. This is almost as slippery a slope as cigars!

Yes it is, except the one I'm getting has a dark brown leather band with white stitching. Wish it had the SS Bracelet (as that looks hot as hell and is more versatile), but maybe the bracelet from the Victory will fit (both are 20mm, I believe). If not, I'll have to hunt down the bracelet seperately, which will likely be an expensive pain in the ass.

Can't wait to see this one in person, though!!!

You're gonna love it. I almost bought the one in the picture, but went with something a little sportier in the end. Might circle back for it eventually, though.

I'm about 99.99% sure the Fireman Victory bracelet will not fit.

If you look around the forums or other auction sites, you might find one for sale. If not, check with our forum sponsor, Topper Jewelers. Rob will treat you very well. In the grand scheme, Ball bracelets are not too pricy. Check out Toppers, they'll have it to you very fast.

Fireman lugs and Trainmaster lugs are not the same shape plus the lug width is 20 on the TM and 21 on the Fireman.

Congrats on the 60 seconds. You'll love the enameled dial. Here while you wait:

In any case, the Trainmaster bracelet is much nicer than the Fireman bracelet.

On a side note, if you like bracelets, ALWAYS buy the watch on bracelet - even if you end up buying the factory leather with buckle, it will be much cheaper that way.

Good luck with that. At least watches aren't as dangerous to your health as cigars. :)

Just the other day I was thinking what next, and how I could see my entire collection being Ball watches ...

Great pics of the watch samanator, thanks! As for the Victory, it's 40mm with a 20mm band, I thought... oh well. I did approach Rob about a bracelet for the Engineer II and it was around $240, so I may save up and get the bracelet for the 60 Seconds if it is around that price... would love to find a used one as I agree that the 60 Seconds bracelet is beautiful. Ended up getting mine pretty much new off the bay, but it came with a dark brown leather strap... that'll have to do for now, I suppose... :)

As for the whole collection being Ball watches, that is what I'm aiming for now... gotta love a watch that has the same name as you (plus, I really, really like their watches...).
