Ball Eng Hydrocarbon Classic III Auto gear spoiled

Hi. Recently I noticed my Ball EHC watch stopped running even though I put inside the Winder, my local watch maker checked said the watch auto gear is spoiled and asking me to send back to Ball Service Center. Just wonder can it be repaired & how much?
Hope someone can tell me why this happened
& how this happened? I seldom wear this watch but end up...... hmmmm so sad...

If you bought the Ball Watch through an AD, send it back to them for service. Or Topper Fine Jewelers, Pounder Jewelers, Will treat you right. Everything I have seen with Ball Watches is they have good customer service and care about the customer and the reputation of their watches. If your Watch had a manufactured defect , I’m sure it will be taken care of at low cost to you. If you did something to the Watch, it will be fixed for a fare price. Vance.

Did you buy it new, or used? If used, then any number of possible explanations are possible--the original buyer may have opened the case, or had someone else do it, thus subjecting to all kinds abuse, or dropped it, etc. If bought new, and never opened, then likely it is a manufacturing defect, and if still on warranty, can be dealt with. I am guessing the former (you bought it in the aftermarket), since I think you would have already gone to your AD if still under warranty. As for repair, of course it can be repaired--cost will depend on what the problem is. Usually figure a minimum of $300.
