Hi again--I should at least say that Ball keeps a pretty tight lip on their pre-orders of new models, so you won't see any other pictures than the ones they show you on their site--not until folks start receiving their watches several months later, and by that time the pre-order will be over. They even prevent "outsiders" (folks who live in countries other than the USA) to access the pictures, much less do the pre-order. So, I, for example, living in Japan, can't see or order the watch--how's that for a brand that prides itself in being thoroughly "global"?!

I have owned both the original Night Train, and the DLC II, and both were great, so, if the III comes even close to either of these, or better, surpasses them, then it would be well worth the $1000 or whatever they are asking for it (that price is about half the retail of each of the two earlier versions). The major drawback on the DLC II was that it was just too big for many people--if it is still 45mm, I would be very careful, and make sure that the size is right for you--the original was 43mm, a better size, I think (but it had an odd 24 hour window, which some people didn't like, as well as Arabic numerals for five minute increments, not to mark the hours...). In making the DLC II they improved on the original by eliminating numerals altogether, and removing the distracting 24 hour window, but on the downside, as mentioned, they made it a bit too big. The lumes on both the earlier versions are among the best there is. Good luck.

Available in 31, 40 and 43mm with three dial colors and two choices of tube color schemes. I swore I was done when I preordered the Starlight, but all those tubes...the lovely tubes...

What are the other dial colors, besides black? Guessing white, and ....? Like the lume as always, sizes makes sense, don't like the date/Cyclops, don't need the numerals, nor the Sinn/Lego hands--think I would pass based on the three negs (date window, minute (not hour) numerals and the hands...).

Has Ball made many other green dials? I'm having trouble thinking of any.
