Ball Limited Edition Fireman Night Train SG50

Received a notification from Ball Singapore on 1 Dec 2014.

To celebrate 50 years independence in 2015 Ball are producing this limited edition 1000 pieces Night Train hence the SG 50 insignia.

Has 93 tritium tubes and case is 45mm, but not to sure whether the look does that much for me. I think the "SG 50" when lit up at night will really overwhelm the dial and the time will play second fiddle here.

Definitely more focused towards a collector.

Good lord. That is definitely... Interesting. If ever there were a poster child for "too much of a good thing..."

What does SG50 stand for exactly?

SG50 is the logo Singapore is using for the 50 yrs independence celebration next year.
    SG is short for Singapore.

The cost is Singapore $2800 suspect that is around US $2200 mark..

Hmm that's too much SG50 for me to pay $2,800 for...now SAF should give those away to NS men that complete their reservist cycle haha

I am afraid I have to agree with Noddy. Not quite sure they have to say "SG50" twice, once in tritium and again in the red circle. I would have take that red circle and place it directly in the center of the dial, with SG above the hands post, and 50 below, inside the red circle, and left the original tritium array alone.

Like a train in the Night? Sorry, could not resist. Historically I have purchased one of the event or Milestone Ball watches and I truly love it. Mine it the Fireman B&O "The First Mile" that was done far more subtle and was one of the only Fireman II that had a tube on the second hand and regulation certified by Ball US. Subtle did not appear to be a goal on this one. Of note this has two things very unique to it if the rendering is accurate. The first is this appears to have white tubes in the minute markers and the letters/numbers which I've never seen before. Second is the double tubes side by side in the letters/numbers which would also be a first.

My wife uses "interesting" to mean "I hate it, but I want to be nice". If I had a tie to this event it might be considered. I think that 1000 pieces is a pretty aggressive goal.
