Ball Night Train lug width? and...

Hi guys... can anyone tell me what is the lug width for the Bight Train? 21mm or 22mm??

Also, please explain to me what is " date warning from 9pm to 3am "? I believe Night Train has this function.

    TIA

    Date warning function:

Manually changing the date between 9p-3a can damage the movement, so Ball developed a system to let the user when it is safe or not safe to change the time manually. On the fireman there is a triangle under the UTC display. If it is red, it is not safe to change the date, if it is white, it is fine.

The Fireman Night Train is on a 21mm calf strap, but I've seen it on anything from 20 to 22mm and it looks just fine.

Does anyone know if Ball will offer a brown strap option for the Night Train?

Not a problem. The Night Train can use all the same straps as the Fireman 43mm. That includes a honey brown, dark brown, or black strap.

The standard strap for the Night Train is a black strap with orange thread.

    Jeremy

I think this combination appeals to me, but I guess standard is white stitch now. I saw a picture of the Master Engineer Classic II with Black leather and red stitching. Looks awesome!

just wondering, how does this damage a movement? i understand that this is the period of the date changing, but what results from this damage? date stops working?

I don't know the technical terms, but the gears for the date can start to engage for the date flipping over between 9p-3a, as they are engaged, setting the date during this period to damage the gears or break them off as they are in use already...

    Hope this makes sense.
