Which Ball Watch? Trainmaster Power Reserve or Cleveland Black Power Reserve

So I've been eyeing up a couple ball watches. The Trainmaster Power Reserve and Trainmaster Cleveland Black Power Reserve. I heard they are discounting the Cleveland and would just like to know what people think of both? Any pictures of the Cleveland on someones wrist would be great. I know there is about a $1600 price difference between the two watches but I have found a Cleveland for a really good price and brings it close to the price of the Power Reserve.

    Thanks

I have a Power Reserve and love the looks of the enameled white dial, blue hands and "vintage" numerals. I prefer it's appearance over the Cleveland PR but I have no idea why there is such a great price difference. Neither watch movement is COSC certified. A big date can't cost that much you wouldn't think. But there are folks here who very well may know. You might call Rob at Topper (forum sponsor) for info, availability and price.

I own the CE PR and have owned the Trainmaster PR--very different watches. The TPR is smaller (41mm case?), and has a painted dial, while the CE PR, 43mm case, has a much more elaborate dial, with gold raised numerals, and much better finishing to the dial. The large date window actually has each numeral separate (not on a single wheel)--a nifty bit of engineering. For me there are two basic decision issues, one, size, and the other is whether you would rather have the nostalgic pocket watch look of the TPR, or the more elegant refined look of the CEPR (you must like the large date window, and also the directly centered PR window--Michael has suggested that this PR window reminds him too much of a smiley face--in actual light, it is very muted, but still, might be worth considering). To me, the deal breaker was the size--if the TPR was a bit bigger, it would be perfect--its not, so, well, its not. Good luck.

For me (personally) I like the power reserve the best. I think the blued hands, white face, and classic look make it a stunning watch.
But there is nothing wrong with the CE, just not a fan of the gold numerals myself. I will say the lume looks better on the CE though.
