    Ball watch water resistance

Forgive me if I've overlooked it, but what are the details on the water resistance rating on Ball watches? I have an EHC Spacemaster and I've often wondered if the listed depth came from some kind of pressure testing, etc.

Basically, are the ratings based on some kind of ISO Diver specs or merely "water resistant to X"? Thanks!

Tested rating by Ball. Given their tendency to over engineer it can probably do at least three times that. If you search there is a video of a Ball EMII diver submerged through the ice and water to a depth nearly three times it's depth rating. EHC tend to be built even more robust so fI feel pretty certain it can at least match this ability. If you have a X-Lume it is even a certified space watch although the dial lume is the really the only difference between a standard Spacemaster and an X-Lume.

Interesting to know. I never questioned this until recently and I didn't find anything specific on the Ball website.

The watch Samanator mentioned was Richard Limeburners personal EMII Diver and we sent it down a hole in the Ross Ice Shelf at Coulman high east of Ross Island. Water temperature was -1.8 degrees Celcius. Ice thickness was 250m and the water depth was 900m.
The watch showed no ill effects from its trip down the hole.

Wow, I'm having a time finding the video (if there was one). Does anyone have the link?
