After a lot of shopping and internet surfing, I finally made the 30-mile drive to my closest Ball dealer. I thought I wanted the Engineer Master II Classic, and they had one. It was really nice, but they also had an Engineer II Ohio (black face) that called out to me...
So i bought the Ohio. It's truly a lovely watch, and it was made all the better with a great buying experience. I went to Powrie Jewellers in Rochester MI, and the service was just what you would want. Hopefully I will be able to return on a year or two and get another one.
I relied on this forum for lots of info, so thanks very much for your help!
Here's the face:
Here's the back (serial number blurred):
This shot shows the depth of the face.
And here's the long-awaited lume picture. The lume looks understated, but it's perfectly visible in low and no-light situations. (the second hand is not really visible here - it's a long exposure)
Now that I've had the watch for a few days, I like it more and more!
