Bracelet Opinion Requested. Keep it or try something else?

A few threads ago I posted pics of Ball's newer 5-link bracelet on my EMII Classic and said that I'd post pics of it on my Trainmaster L&I later. Well, I put the bracelet on the watch today and took some pics:

    Your opinions are requested.
(I won't be offended if you say "yick!" My wife likes this combo, but I'm still on the fence.)

...and I'll tell you why I'm going through this exercise. I can't afford to keep both the L&I and my Grand Seiko SBGR029. I need to decide which one goes into the "permanent collection" and which one goes up for sale.

    SBGR029

I think it looks very good on the bracelet. While I usually go for the strap look on a dress watch, the L&I IMHO looks perfect. Gives a nice 2nd option.

Thumbs Up Re: Bracelet Opinion Requested. Keep it or try something else?

    Hi Rob,

Imho, the bracelet and your L&I look fabulous together!
Seriously, the bracelet looks like it was made for the L&I...very nice.

Oh, and regarding the L&I vs. Grand Seiko...wow...tough choice...but, if it was me, I think that I'd keep the L&I...wait until I was in a really good position to buy another GS...then dig a bit deeper(ok, maybe a lot deeper), and get a Spring Drive GS!

~or~ I could just buy more Balls!

    Thanks for the input.

I admit that the 5-link Ball bracelet is about the most comfortable bracelet I've ever worn. It's on par with the Omega Bond bracelet in comfort.

I think it looks really good on the bracelet! But then I'm a bracelet fan anyway...

And I agree with sukispop, it's a tough call between the two but I'd probably keep the ball. If I ever decided to buy a GS, it would be spring drive too. (Again, though, I'd probably buy Balls instead! )

It's a head vs. heart thing, I think. My head says that the Seiko is the better-built watch, but my heart says to keep the Ball.

I posted a "this or that" Seiko v. Ball post on TZ yesterday, and the Ball has taken a drubbing. Those who favored the Ball largely did so because of its unique old-fashioned look. I probably should have posted some movement shots. Interestingly, the Ball keeps better time than the Grand Seiko.

I'm going to do what I can to hang onto both.

The problem with the first bracelet shown is that there are no half links. My Arabic Chronometer came on that bracelet and it was impossible to adjust for my wrist. Ball USA was nice enough to swap it out for me (back to the Trainmaster bracelet).
