    DLC on several Ball Models

I noticed that there are several Ball watches that use DLC in the names. To name a few Engineer Master II DLC, Fireman Storm Chaser DLC, Storm Chaser DLC Glow, Night Train DLC and Racer DLC.

What does the DLC stand for and do these models have the greatest amount of tritium tubes?

Diamond Like Coating, the name for the dark coating on the cases of the watches you listed. I'll let others chime in on the tritium kings in the Ball line up, not limited to the just the DLCs.

To add to what Peter said, the DLC basically covers the SS with a synthetic diamond.

As far as the tritium levels it was a good catchy that most are T watches (except the Racer DLC). The Storm Chaser and the Night Train are most likely the brightest with the EMII DLC being pretty close.

My wife buys dogs and I buy watches and to date I have never stepped in watch poop!

IMHO, DLC is a better coating than most, but will still marr if it comes it contact with something hard or sharp, as will most coated watches.

My now 7 year old original GEN I Night Train DLC is holding up pretty well. I've got to say it looks better than would a similar aged SS case.
