Ball Watch USA can replace the dead glow now for $60. Thank you Damir!

That dead glow on the bezel has been a let down to me. I have the black cow and gray emII diver. The cow is awsome but the bezel SL only lasted 10 minutes at best when new. Are you saying they will replace it, and if so do you know which grade of SL (C3) would be nice. Don't get me wrong I love the tubes and the quality of ball is high up on the totem pole, but anyone who has a cow knows what I'm speaking of. On a side note I love your signature (FD) I'm a CPT. down here in South Florida.

For $60 they will install a new one. I don't know what type of SL, as original I would assume. I was told on here weeks ago that SL dies off much quicker if it is open to the air as it is under the bezel. Sealed under the crystal it lasts for many years longer.

Always nice to find another FF here. I'm a DE and an acting CPT. 21 years career so far, 26 years total, all with Hillsborough County.

    Hey Chuck,

Did you take it down to Hess to have it done or did you do it yourself?

    Thanks

I walked it into Old Northeast Jewelers/Hess fine Art and Damir handled it. The work is done next door by one of the watchmakers. It was finished the same day.

Assuming your watch is under three-years old (normal 2-year warranty plus one more for registering it on-line), why wouldn't this be done under the warranty? It would appear to be a defect in the workmanship.
    Cheers,

    My thoughts exactly!
