I look forward to the day when Ball hires a new design engineer and comes up with something truly extraordinary...till then, another ever so slightly re-tinkered iteration of another old and familiar previous model, where the only thing that is new (and odd) is the name ("Submarine Warfare"?)...ho hum...

I know its considered a crown guard system, but why does the Hydrocarbon Aero GMT have it yet only have a water resistance of 100M?

I see the purpose, but why add such heft to a watch that doesn't need it? I was about to pull the trigger on the preorder of the Aero GMT II in blue, but the specs really turned me off. It's a big watch, and when you compare the Aero to this, there doesnt seem to be that much difference in the cases which begs the question of why there is such a lack of water resistance.

I'd agree that it's a lackluster change to an existing line but with a fancy (different) name. Since I've never owned a Ball, I suppose I cannot complain too much. As a prospective buyer of one, I'm not a huge fan of their marketing.

^^ Probably available just in North America. However, I can't tolerate a watch with the Day and Date at different positions on the dial. Looks odd to me, so I won't be buying this anyway if it was available in my region. A bit disappointed with the design direction of Ball Watch these last few pre-orders. They could have made the 3, 6 and 9 with a smaller orange tritium tube and it would balance up in the dark.

I like this watch, but have to agree that the positioning of the date window is goofy. I would prefer 3:00, right next to the day.

I do not see the need for constant new designs. I would prefer a well-thought out design that remains consistent, thus increasing the likelihood that parts will still be made if/when repairs are needed.

Another ruined watch by putting date between 4 and 5 and day separately

    I like that it’s titanium. That’s all I like.
