Engineer Master II COSC corrosion forming?

I've got a EMII COSC that is developing some kind of corrosion or rust on the hour hand. Alternately it could be the finish is flaking off. I can't quite tell and I don't have a loop or anyway to see it up close. I don't dive or wear the watch in the shower. I've never seen moisture form on the inside. Could this be caused by grease? It almost looks like it's starting at the center and working it's way out? I did recently take a 3500 mile motorcycle trip and I did wear the watch during the ride. I've got a newer bike so it doesn't vibrate much but maybe that was enough to cause this? I bought the watch from Topper (used) and emailed them. Hopefully they can help me out. Anyone had this happen? I attached an image...I think. I have a hi-res version too.

Def looks like corrosion. How is the tube on the hand? Is it still bright? Wonder if the tritium is leaking...

A gas leak that magically confines itself to one hand?
I would think we are looking for a different cause of the issue.

Isn't there also phosphor in the tubes that can oxidize?
Anyway, maybe someone else has had a similar issue. I've personally never seen that before.

The phosphor is applied to the surface of the tube and is what glows. If there were a gas leak and the phosphor was getting out, you'd see sparkles inside the watch.

There have been posts of similar looking hands in this forum, I believe most have been caused by oxidation/moisture, as a result of the case having been opened previously, or possibly, the pressure seals damaged/worn.

Lume is bright. I've never seen moisture inside or moisture form on the crystal. To my knowledge that back has never been off and I can see the orange ring when I unscrew the crown. Not sure how moisture would get in there.
