Engineer Master II Normandy for Pre-order

Guess I will be the first to post this.

Just saw it on the Ball Watch website. New Engineer Master II Normandy available for pre-order only and not sold in stores. Given all that is said about Ball Watch approach to market, I think that segregating models for on-line pre-order / purchase and those they sell in stores would be the right way forward.

Here's the link and picture of the watch (yes, looks like a knock off of a Breitling Navitimer)

I would imagine that all of us that are on their pre-order e-mail list were notified just like I was. I just went to their site to check it out. It is tempting for sure. As mentioned it is a bit of a Navitimer knock off, but if you like that look, as I do, it seems like a pretty good option. @$2700 I would say it is fairly priced although I am confused about Ball's pricing and how all of that would affect resale down the road on this one.

    I like the color combo.

It does have a Breitling look to some extent, which is a good thing to me.

Not bad looking at all, though I really wish companies would stop doing a 4:30 date window! Either leave it off or put it at 6 o'clock like the 3 dial speedmasters have figured out how to.

Another ball watch I'm not buying because A) theres hardly any difference (tritium) between the hour and minute hands and B) at that price there's no incentive to pay early

Well at least this one ships within a month or two. Not really like the other pre-orders.

From the subdial configuration, movement is probably a modular variant; best to stay away.

im really liking the color combo but too rich for my wrist. It would be cool(er) if the subdials had tritium as well
