    Finally, a Ball

All right, so I've been ogling Balls for a few years now (ouch!) and have been drooling at the pics on this forum for a few weeks. Well, I finally decided to do something about that and bought myself a Hydrocarbon Classic II. All I can say right now is that I'm very happy I did so. This is a fantastic watch that just looks like it BELONGS on my 7" wrist. The 40mm case size is a pleasant change from some of the other behemoths being released these days. The Hydrocarbon has a ton of presence without overpowering the wrist. I'm sure I'll be adding another Ball to my collection in the not too distant future!

Some quick 'n dirties for now:

    Hi captobvious,

Welcome to the Ball Watch Company Forum, and congratulations on getting your Engineer Hydrocarbon Classic II!

Those are gorgeous shots of it. Thanks for sharing them with us!

I generally prefer black dials over white...but I gotta tell you; your pics of your beautiful watch are convincing me to convert! The stunning white guilloché dial and blued hands, along with those extra wide tritium tubes, really make the EH Classic II look perfect, imho!

Welcome, again, to our forum, captobvious. Now that you're officially a part of the Ball Family, I hope that you'll visit often, and hang out with us!
    Take care,
    Geoff

Thanks Geoff! Seems like a good group o' guys here, so I suspect I'll pop in often (although that may lead to bad things, like spending more on Balls!).

Heres a quick lume shot to go along with the others:

    You're very welcome, captobvious!

Great lume shot! Thanks for posting it!

Your lume shot, showcasing those amazing extra wide tritium tubes, poses an interesting question--

Can there be such a thing as too much lume?

Naahh, I don't think so...but I'd be curious to hear if anyone here does.
