Thumbs Up Fireman 43 has landed..............

    Hi All
The 43 arrived at 10:15 this morning and I'm impressed.

I had the dealer size it for me, so it was out of the box set the time&date and directly on the wrist(perfect fit).

The one thing I really like is the all satin finish. Also the way the hands seem to float around the dial

The watch has some heft to it but is not overly heavy making it comfortable to wear.

I'm well satisfied and am sure this will not be my only Ball(Night Train or linear power reserve may be the next).

    Regards
    Bob:thanks
Sorry, no pics as my photography skills are zero.

    Hi Brian
Same color as yours Me likes very much.

One little nit-pick. The date window is on the small side which makes it hard to see for my old eyes, other than that it's a very nice watch

    Hi Bob,

Congratulations on your new Fireman 43mm, and on getting your very first Ball watch!

I, too, love the all satin brushed finish of the Fireman. If that Engineer Master II Classic, sitting in my AD's showcase, hadn't kept LOOKING AT ME, I might have bought the Fireman 43(black dial/blue numerals) w/bracelet, instead! It's okay, though, cuz I LOVE my EMII Classic!

Bob, I was blessed with shakey hands , and I've never had a photographer's "eye" for shots, so I know how you feel...but digital cameras, even of the least expensive point and shoot variety, can help us non-photographers create nice pics.

Here are some shots of my EMII Classic...taken, with tripod, in pretty lousy lighting, and with absolutely no sense of what I should be doing--

    Thanks, Marc! :thanks
I was very pleased(and surprised) with how they turned out. But I'd love to learn how to take pics like the incredible ones that you've been posting up with regularity. The ones that you posted of your green bezeled MII Diver are not only amazing...they've been haunting me!
    Take care,
    Geoff
