    First Ball Ordered

    Hey All:

I want to tell you all what a great group you have here. The information is top notch and the Ball watches you all have are tremendous.

Yesterday, I took the plunge and ordered my first Ball.

I went with my gut and ordered the MoonPhase. I can't wait for it to arrive and to be able to see the stars and the moon in full tritium splendor.

Should arrive in about 2 weeks, as the dealer ordered it from Ball.

I went with the black leather strap and black dial.

Thanx again...wrist shots will be posted upon arrival.
    kind regards,

Congrats on the black moonphase! A 2-week wait for a watch would be too long for a WIS Pls post pics when it arrives havent seen hi-res pics of the moonphase yet!

Yes, the wait is no fun at all. But, when it does arrive, I will have a virgin watch, never having seen another wrist but my own.

and this gives some time to rearrange the watch boxes, figure out what winder it will get when it has a day off, etc. Heck, I need to prepare it's room. Like having a new family member.

I love it here. Great forum, great feedback, great group of people. I am just sorry it took me so long to get over here and buy a Ball.

It all began as my wife, another WIS, was into the Fireman. Alas, on her tiny wrist, she refuses to go any bigger than her Limes Artemesia.

So, what happens...while studying the line, I discover the moonphase. I have wanted a true moon for sometime as it is the only main gap in the collection, but I won't buy a watch just because of the complication. It has to speak to me"...Scott, you must wear me, you can't live without me..."

Of all the Balls, this one really spoke to me, and it had the moon phase. And the more I learned about the watch, and the movement work, and just how great all of you feel about your Balls, the rest was history.

I tend to be vintage but my newer rotation consists of my Krieger Aficionado, D. Freemont Sapphire GMT Power Reserve, Nomos Ludwig, and my Anonimo Chronoscopio, with the Anonimo getting the bulk of the work.

He tells me he looks forward to meeting "Moonie" and that a good friendship is anticipated.

    Re: First Ball Ordered

Thanx again for all the great comments. I will take many pictures upon arrival and can't wait to share.

Did some maneuvering in the boxes, and slots have emerged.

My wife's Limes is going to take over the single winder slot occupied by my Freemont.

So in the 2 available slots will now be room for my Freemont and my Ball.

Also shown is my wife's Limes, taking over the winder slot in the single winder box.

I have a feeling the Ball will get enough wear to seldom need the box though
