    Great watches, Great Company

Some time ago I was servicing my Fireman II and I popped the hour hand vial with my tweezers . I have been trying to get a new set of hands ever since. With no luck and in desperation I used MB Microtec's online form.

This was picked up by a guy called Gavin Palmer who then passed my query onto Kevin Kouch at Ball who then got Charlotte Mollard to help me out.

I would like to say a big thank you to Gavin, Kevin and Charlotte for helping me resurrect my watch back to perfection .

    Kind Regards Phil

    Are the tubes easily ruptured?

The tubes are indeed very delicate Norm, very thin glass wall. I popped it whilst reassembling after servicing the movement, I just picked the hour hand up in the wrong place and I still feel a real plonker for doing it. I could have sent my watch in for the new hands fitted but I would have been charged over £100 and I didn't want to part with that for something I can do myself. The hands cost me around £38ish delivered. I will put it down as a lesson learnt
