    How does Ball make the case backs?

    Casting? 3D CNC machining? Hand engraving?

    At the price range we are looking at, I would guess casting with a good clean up. I'd love to hear otherwise!

    Yes, I should have mentioned forging or coining, but my guess is the volume is much too low to justify the expense of the dies.

    My guess would be computer driven CNC since I've seen many being done this way, but I sent a message to Rob to ask Philippe for the answer. Ball does a really nice job on this. For those new here I suggest a visit to the case back thread up in the photo album. Also if your in possession of one we don't have there please add it to the thread.
