Well, you must be very happy to know the good news that the Engineer II Genesis is not listed on their website's current collection.

I too dislike the blocky numbers constructed out of a series of tritium tubes. I would rather them lay the tubes out like indices or do a sandwich dial with the tritium lume tubes glowing from under the dial. Numbers would be stencil cut out like a Panerai.

Odd question, but I would nominate the entire "Inspector" series first (looks more like a belt buckle than a watch, to me), followed by the "Conductor" line up, and third, the BMW series--all of which I would NEVER buy. Of those that I actually own, I of course wouldn't get rid of any.

I remember bidding on a black dial Inspector II on eBay many years ago. I think I would have regret it had I won, but I was a few hundred short of the max bid. Looking back, I'm not sure what I saw in the watch.

The Conductor watches are stunning. The curved body and super domed sapphire are very cool. Have you seen one? I have three Ball watches (Conductor, Fireman Racer, Mad Cow). The Conductor is probably my favorite but they are all winners. As for the Inspector series, that's not my cup of tea. And I don't want any watch by any brand that advertises any brand of car.

If I had a nice collection of them it would definitely be t.he BMW series. Those are not up to the brands usual standards.

Regarding the Conductor, I have to admit I do like at least one version--the one where the dial has regular projections from the center for the hour markers, as opposed to the crossword grid pattern. We all have our likes and dislikes, of course, so I am very sure there are many who really like the design, which is fine (and yes, I have seen them all, we have a Ball dealer in town).
