    I'm havin' a Ball......A first for me.

Presenting the Engineer II Magneto Valor II. Pre-ordered in Jan '18, received today, with some minor skirmishes with Ball customer care in between. This being my first watch from Ball, it was subjected to a detailed scrutiny. A pretty decent piece I must say. The bracelet, though a bit lightweight to feel, is comfortable & doesn't rattle. Liked the concept of rotating the bezel to close the display caseback ( just like an Iris), thus improving the anti-magnetic properties of the watch. It makes a fine companion to my tritium tube enabled Traser. Now all i gottta do is keep it from being appropriated by the better half :)

Apparently it seemed like a case of the right hand not knowing what the left is up to! Initially there was total radio silence. After repeated e-mails, I was informed that my watch was traced upto Hong Kong after which it strangely disappeared into the blue yonder. Then came the Swiss holidays. So there you go. In general, I found the customer service dept. of Ball Watch a trifle underwhelming, to put it mildly. Enough to make me shy away from further 'pre-orders'.

Congrats, looks great. Ball was my first real automatic and the watch that gave me the bug.

Love the Fireman Racer. Currently looking for a good deal on the white dial with blue hands. Congrats Dinky1. Have always loved Ball and looking forward to adding one to my collection
I have a problem with changing my mind faster than I can change my watch collection

Please explain how that case back works. There is a mechanism which seals off the see through case back? Looks amazing!

Ditto on the iris case back thing, that’s looks cool.
    Is it for magnetism?

^^ Hi fellas. The diaphragm is made of mu-metal which is recognised for its abilities to not attract and hold electrical charges hence anti-magnetic. You can read all this at the Ball Watch official website from here.
