Well l bought a used EMII classic with the blue second hand, has the black leather band with blue stitching and deployant buckle (is it deployant or deployment?).
I love the watch, the size at 40mm simply hits its the sweet spot on my wrist. I have a Steinhart OVM that's 42mm and it works but feels a bit big. My little Seiko 5 at about 38mm works but is a little small. So perfect fit size wise.
I'm pretty new to watches but I'm shocked at overall look and feel of this watch. It's sooo sweet! I hadn't seen this model until I saw it for sale on this forum. It's a smile maker for me. By far a nicer watch than I thought I was buying.
The strap looks nice and the buckle looks great also, but the clasp part of the buckle that has the stud is a pain in the wrist. The corners are closer to the skin than the folding /butterfly part, so they dig in to the underside of the wrist. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Bummer because it's a nice look overall, but after an hour or two it's uncomfortable. Is this type of thing common with deployant buckles? I do wear a watch pretty tight but it's irritating even if the watch is loosened up a bit.
I'm going to get with Toppers and order a bracelet. But I would like to keep comfortable strap options available. Any suggestions?
