Picture Local trip to a new Ball dealer...

Took my wife out for her birthday, and we went to Manayunk, a trendy part of Philadelphia which has a great selection of restaurants, stores and boutiques. Stopped in at Martin Pulli Jewelers right on Main Street. He just put out his collection as he just recieved them. Got to try on a production model Night Train, which was great. I would have bought one, but being my wife's b-day, I decided to keep my CC firmly in my pocket...

    Hi Warren,

I hope that Mrs. Obie had a wonderful birthday.

That jeweler has a nice display, and a very nice selection of Balls.

    You showed excellent restraint!

Mrs. Obie didn't want a new Ball watch?

    Take care,
    Geoff

A nice display indeed (my AD had the same model engine). Good thing they didnt have a Diver TMT LE to look at or that CC might have gotten loose. Happy bday to Mrs Obie, who obviously showed even more restraint, since it was her birthday after all..

The trains are all from the Ball Watch Company, and no I don't think they are available for sale, although that would be cool Swag!

Martin is going to put a small scale functioning train set on the bottom of the case, which should add some ambience to the whole thing. Now if I can get him to make it a night scene, and use some Ball Watches as lighting, that would really be cool...

If you do, let me know and I will try to put on a mini-Ball Watch GTG... They are always great, and Ball Watch USA always sends some nice swag for all the attendees. And I know a dealer who would be happy to host the event, as there are amazing restaurants all around the store to fest on. Oh and did I mention all the micro-brewerys' around there....

Just go to your local hobby shop and pick up an HO gauge locomotive and put in on a small block of wood with a short piece of track underneath it. That way you can choose either steam or diesel.
