    Looking for my first chronograph

Hello members. Was hoping to get some opinions on the storm chaser pro and hydrocarbon racer. I have checked for reviews and only the usual wornandwound etc show up. Anyone with first hand experience of either who can share some insights would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure how I would feel about the lock device around the crown. Does it throw off the balance on the hydrocarbon? I think I like the dials at 3 and 9 better. Also, like the sub dials hands better.
The storm chaser with the orange highlights really make this attractive to me. In the market for something with orange that is classy. Not sure about sub dial hands. But, the dial layout is not typical and with the sub dial hands this way, you have something a bit more unique.
    Some thoughts please

I used to have the Hydrocarbon Racer.

Excellent watch. Not too thick, not too heavy, not too light either, but wears very well on both a bracelet or strap.

    A good choice, IMHO.

I had the Cannonball, and though I never really needed to use the chronograph, I really loved the watch--worth checking out as well--the dial is a work of art. and doesn't have the tachymeter scale which to me clutters up the bezel unnecessarily (unless you actually use it).

Thanks guys. Will check out the cannonball as well. Also looking at a much cheaper quartz chrono from Christopher Ward. Just have a hard time buying a watch now without the Tritium. Love wearing my Fireman at night and when I go out. Awesome

    Looking for my first chronograph

The BALL storm chaser pro is one of my favorite chronographa out of my collection.

I love this watch, pictures don’t do it justice

The dial has a slight sunburst finish to it, this makes it much more interesting

That being said, the Lugs are basicly straight, so it wears a bit large for a 42.

Got to see the new Cannonball Blue this past weekend - a stunning watch that I can see adding to my collection in the future - be sure to check it out too.

Thanks for that info gossler. What size wrists do you have if you don’t mind me asking?

Did you acquire a chronograph ? If so, what did you get ?
