I find it hard to compare - Ball will win in the long run...
Michael: What is the most inspiring thing I’ve ever said to you?
Dwight: Don’t be an idiot - changed my life. Whenever I’m about to do something, I think, Would an idiot do that? and if they would, I do not do that thing.

+1. I have some SL watches that will shine like a beacon and can beat the Balls for an hour, and am aware of Seiko's that can do so for 2-3 hours. But H3 will eventually win out.

My new Aviator GMT with an even higher millicure count than my NightTrain, excells in those dim/low light situations that traditonally plague H3. I must say that the Aviator glows away.

You do have to love a watch with strong SL, which is still visible in the morning. My Sinn 857 does that for me.

Uhh....unless I'm mistaken, the DOXA 800Ti has Tritium tubes.

i was researching the 800 ti and you are quite right. This model wasn't on Doxa's site so I couldn't account for it. So the 880Ti will definitely hold it's lume!

I would then completely agree with Rob's assessment of the battle, the NT has better night brightness and the Ti has better low light lume. The Ti beats the lower millicure Ball's, but I would expect it to.

Thanx for the education on a model that I would not otherwise have known about Rob and seattlite.

You guys just wait. Once I get the MTM Vulture I'll take this battle handsdown!

    1. It will have ultra eye piercing LED lights
    2. Superluminova SL (which initially outshines H3 for about 15-20 minutes and has no limited lifespan); and
    3. UV light to recharge the SL (which only takes about 5 seconds to fully charge)

*normal sunlgight or artificial light will take about 15-20 seconds to fully charge.

Hockeybrand I am sure you are joking around with the watch you presented... but needless to say in referring to a watch that has actual lights in it.... For what its worth.. any watch that has a battery in it is not real timepeice to me.. sorry.. A real watch in my opinion is a timepiece which has a complex mechanism to measure time that does not neen to be opened every few years for a battery replacement... Just my opinion..

In comparing the Doxa watches are Doxa watches Shock resistant, antimagnetic? Do they use screws in the bracelet links or pins?

Also... Jeff Hess... How does Doxa get away with putting a Tritium gas tube in the bezel at 12:00 as shown in the photo? I thought the NRC would anly allow Tritium gas tubes to be contained within the watch case and not externally?
