Marvelight - Engineer II vs M

    Hi there,

New to ball and really want to get one. Working my way through the list of possibilities and am wondering about the difference between the two versions (but same name) of the Marvel light?

So far it seems like there might be different dial colors, different power reserve, frequency rate, lack of cyclops? Anything else I'm missing? is there a preference or pros con list?

    thank you!

The Engineer M Marvelight has Ball's new in-house movement as opposed to the Engineer II having an ETA movement. So that's a big plus for the M in my book, especially with the 80 hour power reserve.
I have yet to see any proper real life pics of the M, so it's hard to say which one looks better. Although I like the idea of getting rid of the date magnifier.

In addition, the Engineer M is a COSC certified Chronometer and has lume of >T25, whereas the Engineer II has T25. It's also nice to see a Ball movement for once, with the sapphire case back.

I do prefer the shorter minute markers on the Engineer II and also the slightly smaller Ball logo. Otherwise I think the Engineer M is the way to go, although it's a bit expensive.
