Interesting look for the bezel. Can't decide if I like it or not.

What is the function of that oval hole in the side of the case around 4'0 clock?

It's in the price list up in the reference area here. Price is $3399 retail. They only list it on the strap so no known bracelet since it is a trimer case (12.9mm thick) then most EII watches. Once one is in hand we can see if an existing bracelet will fit.

For me the tapered coin edge bezel is a very attractive feature.

Reads like an ad for a Japanese whiskey, For a good time, Suntori Time...

So Ball wants us to be Existentialist? Don't really see Nietzsche or Sartre wearing a Ball, it would most likely intrude too much on their sense of determining their own reality and forging a new path forward unbound by the traditions of time. In a matter of fact, by wearing a watch, you are countering the Existentialism by imposing the order of rational time upon it.

Funny, I really like watches, but never once have I thought that one of my watches determined or even expressed my philosophy of life, the universe, and everything, (reference to Monty Python intended). My philosophy of design and style, yes.

Ball should stick to the Adventure and Adventurer motif, or cars, or trains, or at least try to not be so philosophical.

BTW, not a big fan of traditional coin edge bezels. This bezel I like much better, it's not really even coin edge, just grippy, which is good. Still wish they had opted for an uber anti-magnetic watch that had something like 10 times more anti-magnetic properties than the Omega anti-magnetic watch, (which is most likely not possible with current technology), than for the gimmicky photo shutter enclosure on the back.

    Sparrowhawk,

You crack me up! I could not agree more!

Relativity has its place in theoretical physics, but when it comes to truth........Careful!

I think Ball in it's endeavor to appeal to a new generation, may be departing from more than its roots.....can't wait to see future dial designs.....watches that you determine the time.....because it's all about you!

It's a comfort however to see that Mr. Nietzsche's influence has somewhat faded with (wait for it...) TIME.

Reminds me of a T-shirt I saw at the mall:

    (front) "God is dead" ...........
    Nietzsche

    (back) "
    Nietzsche is dead" ...........God

    LOL

    Have a great Saturday everyone!
