    Night Train!

What a great watch. This is a keeper for sure and I am more than happy with it. The case is beautiful, the design and layout of the dial is a nice update of the classic military dial and the overall package is very well thought out. The lume is of course, totally spectacular and I can't wait for night time to fully appreciate it. I have feeling this will become my new "bed timer".

I put it on a Don Ginsler 22mm brown buffalo strap and this one is a keeper IMO.

I'm curious as to the toughness of the DLC. Has anyone scratched one of these yet? I wonder how much punishment it can take and if I can get away with wearing it in my shop.

Looks great on the Buffalo Peter... congrats again. Sorry to read about the small dial scuffs, but a good reason to get the dial swap as you said.

As for the DLC, I dont have any experience with it, but would think while harder to scratch then the PVD, I still wouldnt want to put it in a 'hazardous' environment...jm2c...

    Hi Peter,

Your NT looks fabulous on that Don Ginsler Brown Buffalo! Congrats again!

I recall once reading a thread over at the G-Shock Forum, when a member decided to test the toughness of the DLC coating on the ti case of his MR.G, G-Shock's top of the line series. I don't recall the details of his test(something about a screwdriver), but the results were impressive. The DLC coating proved to be very scratch resistant, and I would suspect that the DLC coating on our NTs should enjoy similar protective properties.

But I still don't plan on intentionally putting my Night Train in harm's way, just to see....
    Take care,
    Geoff

That looks sharp Peter. I agree the NT is a great watch and I am very happy with my NT. So far it's very accurate 0 sec/24hr. It keeps better time than my submariner.

Thank you folks and a big thank you to Ball for making such nice timepieces. I'm getting pretty spoiled with them.
