    Night Train size

Hi everyone. I've ordered the Night Train with the rubber strap from an AD in Utah. I've read all the info posted so far and seen the beautiful photos of the watch on the wrist of one of the members. It does look quiet large on his wrist. The diameter of this watch is 43 mm. Is this in fact correct? My Gevril is the same size and is huge! Just wanted to know if anyone thinks/feels that this watch is too large?

Thanks from a new WUS member, and enthusiast (addict)!

    Re: Night Train size

    Hi Chris,

Welcome, again, and congrats on ordering your Night Train!

The NT's case diameter is 43mm, not including the crown.

How it wears on the owner's wrist is one of those, "in the eye of the beholder", things, imho. It also, of course, depends on the size of your wrist, to some degree. While I might not recommend it for someone with a 5.5" wrist, I wouldn't necessarily tell someone to steer clear of it, just because he/she only had, say, a 6.0" wrist. My wife actually just got a Fireman 43mm, with black dial and blue numerals, on bracelet. She has a 6.25" wrist, and really enjoys wearing it. It looks "fun" big on her wrist, not "dumb" big, if you know what I mean. My wife also owns a Bathys Benthic divers watch, which is 44mm not including crown, and loves the looks of that watch on her wrist, too.

I also think that, in many cases, a strap helps a big watch to wear better on a smaller wrist, than a bracelet might...so your Night Train w/rubber strap should look just fine...just mho....

Please report back to us when you've got your Night Train on your wrist!

    Hi Chris
I'll agree with Geoff. I have the Fireman 43 and my wrist is approx 7.00". The watch is on the bracelet and is very comfortable. Straps do tend to make a watch wear differently so you won't have a problem

Big congrats on the Night Train It's on my short list.

    Regards
    Bob:thanks

    Re: Night Train size

Thanks Geoff, Bob,and Marc for the replies and for making me feel welcome! I know the watch will be beautiful and I can't wait to get it. I'll post pics as soon as it arrives. I'm new at collecting, and have just a few nice watches. Adding to it slowly, especially after an ebay bid on a Russian watch that showed up broken!

Thanks again and ya'll take care.

    Hi Bob,

I mean no disrespect...but I think Marc's Ionosphere would look even better on my 7.125" wrist!

We could pass it around, take pics and hold a poll to see who's wrist it looks better on? Winner gets the watch...

    Steve,

You are both handsome and wise!

That sounds like an excellent idea!

And I volunteer to be the last contestant to try on Marc's Ionosphere!

Marc, could you please coordinate this? Thanks!

    Take care,
    Geoff

    Re: Night Train size

...How has this thread about the Night Train's size become a contest for Marc's Ionosphere?!?

I am going to win, by the way!

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program!
    Take care,
