Off in search of a Ball!

Greetings and I trust everyone is well. Heading out tomorrow to the Bahamas and will be visiting an AD in Nassau. Been stalking a classic dress/casual watch every since my NEDU purchase back in January. Leaning heavily towards a 60 Seconds II on a strap. The AD has one set aside for me to inspect. Also been looking at Hamilton's. I enjoy the classic and simple look of the 60 Seconds II as well as the price point and will be looking to make a purchase while I'm on vacation. More to follow as the search winds down and I will keep you guys posted when I pull the trigger. I know, didn't happen without pictures! Any advice from Ball enthusiasts is appreciated.

Research prices beforehand, don't pay more than you would at home!

I did find it a tad bit humorous that you were buying a dress watch on vacation.

Anyway, have some fun in the sun.

Thumbs Up Re: Off in search of a Ball!

Greetings to all. An update on my travels and purchase. Returned with the 60 Seconds on SS and the AD threw in a black leather Ball strap with blue stitching to match the hands on the watch. Photos are of the watch in question and strap, a wrist shot to quiet doubters, and finally a shot next to the 60 Seconds big brother (NEDU). I was quite pleased once again with my AD and salesperson. Kudo's to Mr. Carey at John Bull in Nassau. He is a true watch enthusiast and I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with him once again. As always, he took exceptional care of me and the price point was very generous. Thank you to everyone who has chimed in over the last few months as I tend to over-research these types of purchases! Next up, well, who knows but I'm sure I will have a Ball trying to figure it out!

I really like my 60 Seconds... especially the blue flash from the hands in the right light. Its accuracy is more useful than my quartz watches because the dial is so clear compared to them. One of my quartz watches cannot be set as precisely as my 60 seconds because the minute hand slips over a millimeter when I hack it.

I too enjoy the blue hands. I haven't quite decided if I'll wear the black strap with blue stitching yet as I haven't worn much other than a metal bracelet most of my life. I've already received a few compliments on the clean look of the watch which is what drew me to the model.

My other -- cheaper -- watches all have straps but I'm liking the metal bracelet better for this one. To me it seems like a natural continuation of the watch design. I wouldn't mind if I could get it just barely looser than it is now though.

Two half links are slightly longer than one full link.
