Picture Ouch! I just got bit by an Albino "Gator"!

Ok I admit it, I AM WEAK!

A few months a go I met a guy at a friends place and we start talking watches. He has some very nice pieces and while chating, he asks me if I have heard of a watch company called Ball?

Ahh yeh, I had. I owned a Mad Cow at the time and he tells me he bought this model called an Alligator. He sized it, wore it around once and decided it was too big and it has sat in his watch winder since. I mention to him if he wants to sell it..give me a call and I give him my number.

I get a call from him a few days ago and asks would I like his "Gator". I would love it but I bought a new Omega Seamaster Chrono last week so I am AHHHHGGG!

I even emailed one of our forum members yesterday to see if he wanted it and like me, the timing was bad.

He sold it to a local watch broker this morning who happens to be a friend. I get a call from him and he says "Guess what I have?" Ok, I tell him, I'm on my way. Shoot, what am I going to tell my wife!

Oh Well. I have never held one and I can't believe how nice they are. That was it. It was coming home.

Sooo, without further ado..enjoy the pictures!

    Cheers,
    David

You stinker, that's the one that was just yanked off of eBay just before I was going to bid! I wanted it.

    Seriously, good score!

You are right Rob. I called my friend and he said the previous owner had brought it in to his shop a few days ago on consignment but hadn't decided to sell it yet. He put it on eBay to "test the water". I chewed him out beacuse he didn't tell me he had listed it too.

    Sorry mate!

That's okay. My decision to bid was spur-of-the-moment after having already decided not to bid (and telling another forum member of my decision).

Once the auction was yanked, I even e-mailed the seller to ask why. He was great, telling me basically that he had to give it back.

    Enjoy!

    David,

Heartfelt congratulations to you!!! That is a super watch..it has become one of my favorites in just a very short time...wear it in good health & happiness. It is a wonderful feeling to have a 'gator strapped on your wrist!

    Thanks for the Kudo's guys!

Rob, Bill is a great guy and if you ever want one of his watches, let me know and I will help you out. 100% trustworthy. If he had gotten a bid on it, I am sure he wouldn't have canceled the sale. He is that kind of guy. He had an Omega I wanted a while back and had one bid and wouldn't cancel the sale even for me. Said it wouldn't be right.

Ron, I know you know how it feels to have a "Gator" on your wrist and I don't doubt you will have another. It was very kind of you to let your father or was it father-in-law have it.

    Cheers to all!

I got a good "vibe" from Bill's e-mail. I'm glad to have stumbled onto his online store. Great stuff!
