proud new owner of my first ball watch, with pics!

    what have we here?

let's slip it out of it's cover... great packaging! so what does it contain... an engineer master 2 moon glow perhaps?

alright, let's open 'er up. i purchased it on the bracelet but also purchased the black croc strap as i vastly prefer straps. asked the jeweler to swap it out prior to taking receipt and he was glad to do so, with nary a mark upon it!

let's get it out and lay it down, shall we? the deployment clasp on the strap is amazing!

...and now let's get it on and see how it looks

obligatory (and awful) darkness pic. need a better camera to pull this one off

overall, very impressed with the quality, heft, appearance and craftsmanship. the tritium tubes at night are everything expected and the illuminated date is fantastic! the details on the dial leave nothing to be desired and the overall dimensions of the watch are perfect. both the bracelet and strap are very high quality and as i said above i love the deployment clasp, particularly on the strap as that's the one i'm wearing. this will be a watch i'll have for years to come, not a work watch (work in the auto repair industry for a living) but i suspect it will get more wrist time than anything else outside of work.

have to mention my appreciation for the ad as well, made purchasing it a pleasure and took very good care of me, definitely an asset to ball.

overall to ball watch on this one.

Congrats on your new purchase!!! I have always been a fan of the moon glow, and I didn't even know it came with such a nice deployant clasp. Enjoy!!!

PS - I really like how you did your sig - wish I had thought of that!

Wow, that looks real nice. I like the date window at the 9-o'clock. Very unique.
    Congratulations.

jeff, i'm not certain it does come with the deployment clasp but in speaking with my ad ball does make a matte black croc strap that fits and has the deployment clasp. love that freakin thing the bracelet is also great quality and comes with the deployment clasp, but i am partial to straps at this point. i did want to have the option of going to the bracelet however, and so purchased it that way and added the croc strap with deployment clasp to my order.

thanks also for the props on the sig, i fiddled with it for ~10 minutes and thought it looked ok... plan on moving those "mind" watches up to the "wrist" category at some point over the next few months, i'm sure others will come along to replace them... but the "heart" watches may take a little longer

thanks, i really need to get a camera that lets me do longer exposures so i can better capture the night shots, but otherwise my olympus point and shoot does ok. it really doesn't do justice to the lume, it is crisp and visible even in low light conditions and positively glows in full darkness.

thanks for the kind words and well wishes folks the date location and the fact the date is illuminated were factors in choosing this particular watch... the main driving factor however was the way the watch is illuminated; back-lighting the numbers and date was a brilliant design and my main deciding factor in choosing this watch over some of my other ball favorites.
