Question about item in Ball Alligator kit *Ball USA??*

When I received my Ball Alligator, complete with all the LE accessories, including the little sub replica, stand, rubber strap, tray, folder with LE certificate, strap tools... then there was this little threaded rod in a small zip-loc baggie. It is about .75" long. I can't figure out what the heck it is for. I emailed Ball USA but never received a response.

    Anyone? Any guesses?

At first I though it was an antenna for the sub replica, but there isn't a threaded hole for it to attach.

I got that too when I got my Ball "mad cow". I understand its a spare screw-bar (sorry, suddenly can't think of the words, hope you understand what I mean) for your bracelet/case.

Hmmm, Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't see how this relates to the bracelet? The bracelet screws have threads on one end and a slot on the other. The lug screws have a hollow shouldered screw with a retaining screw on the end. Neither matches this part???

It's to help you thread the screw tube through the lugs and strap. Sometimes on the Hydrocarbons, it's hard to get the screw tube to connect to the opposite lug.

It took me a while to figure out what it was for when I got my Mad Cow. Once its function dawned on me, strap changes were much easier, especially when installing the rubber strap.

Wonderful! Thanks Rob for ending my misery. I've been scratching my head on this since day one.
