    So very unimpressed

I just left a very prominent NYC watch seller and got severe "attitude" when she told me that there was a "gas" in the tubes of one of the watches I was looking at.
I looked at her and added with a polite smile, "correct, they use tritium ga…….."
She, now with attitude responded, "NO! my watch (a woman's TAG with Superlume hands) uses tritium, these watches (Balls) have a 'gas'".
I thought you all would like that story!
What the hell is "a gas"…...

    Your watch has gas? Ew.

Sounds like a typical uneducated seller at a large chain.

I've found that it is as rare to find a watch dealer who knows watches as it is to find a car dealer who knows cars.

There are exceptions to this rule, and the three Ball dealers that I've met here in the Baltimore-to-Richmond corridor are exceptions. I can't say the same with the local Rolex and Omega shops.

So, next time I don't have to tell me GF it was the dog,
I can blame it on my watch??? Now that would be handy!
