    Spacemaster bracelet deployant clasp screw

Anyone know the specs for the two screws on the inside of the button release deployant clasp on the steel spacemaster bracelet? One of mine fell out, and it makes closing the clasp slightly cumbersome. I'd like to pick up a new screw, but I don't know the specs and I doubt I can just take the remaining one to the hardware store and match it up!

The missing screw is on the left in the attached image.

No way are you going to find a screw that small anywhere.

    Yep.
Call Ball in Florida or go through AD as tc said and they will send you one.

And make sure you get them to install it at the AD with the proper locktite. The remaining fastener shows a bit of wear.

Suggest using loc-tite when you reinstall the replacement.

    Spacemaster bracelet deployant clasp screw

I put Loc-tite on all the other screws about a year ago. I never noticed these ones.

I did learn there is at least one tiny spring that can come out when a screw falls out. Clasp still works but there is little resistance to depressing the release button, so it releases inadvertently on occasion. I've been meaning to switch to the rubber strap anyhow.

I think I'll send the whole kit and caboodle in for an overhaul when I get my next watch. For now, it's annoying enough for me to head to a hardware store quick or switch to my rubber strap but not annoying enough to spend the time to get it fixed properly.

    Thanks all!

What is your source for this since google can't seem to find any discussion of this except this thread? Can you provide me a few links?

for the case, if customer request change a new watch is impossible. that for sure. I feel that, if ball service centre should hv the screw a replace it immediately , plus giving some present. I think the problems should solve.. if a tiny screw lost n need to put the watch at service centre for a month, that doesn't made sence at all.

Thanks for the information. Apparently this is a rare occurrence so they do not have these in stock. Service centers generally keep common failed items. It is unreasonable to expect them to have every part in inventory. Given the number of Hydrocarbon watches worldwide with this clasp I don't think these few occurrences account for a lot which was what I suspected. Seem if it started to back out it would be hard to latch the clasp.
