On December 30, 2005, I received my first Ball watch: the Ball Engineer Master II Classic. After three years and the comings-and-goings of 20 other Balls, this one is still my favorite.
I still appreciate its perfect size; water, magnet and shock resistance; accuracy (never more than 3/sec off per day); inky black dial; thick first-generation EMII Classic crystal; orange sweep hand; and killer T-65 lume in thin tubes.
I also greatly appreciated Ball HQ's help in fitting endlinks to one of their other model's oyster-style bracelets, just so that the bracelet would fit this watch.
Unlike most of the other watches that have arrived at my doorstep, this one was a keeper the moment that I opened the box.
