What kind of Ball watch would you like to see in the future?

    Hi Guys,

I know that Ball is coming out with many new exciting watches, believe me, I am one of the excited! But I was thinking about the future. What new technology, complication or feature would you like to see ina Ball watch?

I have always loved high-end multifunction quartz watches. I know what you're going to say. QUARTZ, QUARTZ, we don't need no stinkin' QUARTZ! But what would you say if Ball made a B-1 / X-33 version with Tritium tubes and a backlight? IMHO, every collection should have a quartz multifunction with alarm, timer, multiple timezones etc... Also, it is always good to have 1 watch you do not need to reset. Maybe they could even go as far as getting a thermo-compensating quartz movement...

    Just thinking out loud...

So, what would you like to see Ball doing / producing in the future?

    Thoughts?

I would like to see Ball Watch make a GMT watch where the main hour hand is the quickset hand, leaving the GMT hand as the main hometime and non-quickset hand, like the Rolex GMT. Besides that I am very happy with the current lineup of Ball watches, and they are releasing some great new products like the Night Train, Cannonball, Doctors Chronograph and LE Diver TMT...

A black-bezeled diver. I'm a big fan of the Planet Ocean and would love to see Ball try its hand at a black-dialed, black-bezeled diver using one of its 42/43mm cases (not Hydrocarbon, which is too thick). It would have a clean, uncluttered dial design w/stick tubes rather than arabic. The Night Train dial, sans UTC, might work nicely. Crystal would have anti-glare coating on both sides. Bracelet would be a thick oyster-style and rubber strap option would be curved to fit case snugly.

I'm with you, jaymd......I think that a Ball with a copper guilloché dial would look extraordinary on a Hydrocarbon...

...I, myself, was dreaming of such a dial on the likes of a Fireman Ionosphere Chronograph! And, while we're dreaming, let's top that gorgeous copper guilloché dial with a nicely domed sapphire crystal, please!

Sorry for the non-Ball pic...this is just for illustrative purposes, for folks to get an idea of what a copper guilloché dial looks like--

    Hi Steve,

It's great to see you, here in the Official Ball Watch Company Forum!

And congrats on your incoming EMII Diver with the green bezel accent! That's a beautiful watch...I think the green variant is my favorite of the bunch!

I hope that you'll drop by, often, and hang out with us when you can!
