What's up with Ball and the ridiculously low grey market prices?

I apologize if this question has been brought up before, but it's been a while since I've been on here. I purchased my Spacemaster glow last year brand new for $1200. Yep that's right, over 60% off of MSRP. I'm actually looking at jomashop, and thinking about picking up another. They have a few hydrocarbon models for over 70% off. What gives?!? I know it's the grey market, but I have not seen a brand with that steep of a discount (I'm talking about swiss luxury here, not made for late night tv brands). I thought Fortis and Glycine were steeply discounted, but they ain't got nothin on Ball. I mean, it's great for us, but it can't be great for the brand...

Steep discounts like that seem to good to be true. I would be hesitant especially from Jomashop

I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to by from Jomashop. Just bought my 5th watch from them.

Glad you had better luck with them than I did. Terrible and rude customer service. They actually hung up on me once and said I could not speak to a supervisor
    Never again.

Just checked Jomashop (and a perfectly safe place to buy, but as is well known, not a place to go for service), and didn't notice any especially "ridiculously low" prices--Ball MSRP prices have always been too high, and their recent marketing strategies have lowered their actual sales prices to more accurately resemble their relative "foothold" in the market place--excellent watches at excellent prices.

I have bought two Balls from Jomashop (Trainmaster legend and Magneto). Perfect on arrival and running great 2 years on. Compared to the MSRP its way, way discounted; however I believe these prices as previously mentioned reflect a more realistic price for Ball watches in general.

I will definitely buy from Jomashop again; customer service is useless but your saving upwards of 60%...

Two watches in particular come to mind. The hydrocarbon Black and Airborne. The Black is being sold at Ball watch USA for $4699, while the Airborne had an msrp of $4399...Both are being sold below $1500 on Joma.

Yeah I know what you mean. They are legit though. I have purchased 8 watches from them. All but one have been perfect. They come factory sealed. It's when you get a dud, do they then put you away and basically say "tough luck". Yep, real a-holes for the most part, but dang..their prices just keep bringing me back. Another good gray market dealer is Shopworn. They are real friendly, but the inventory is not as great.
