Would you by a Ball watch like this one?...

    Hi Guys,

What if Ball came out with a BIG watch, featuring NOS movements like this:

The case would be large, yet simple. The dial itself would be plain, but maybe with some light guilloche pattern. VERY little writing on the dial. Big tritium tubes as Hour markers and Roman tritium numerals at the cardinal points. Small tritium dots for the deconds subdial. And LARGE hands like the ones on the Cannonball Chrono...

Man, my mouth is watering. How about a limited run of only 25 watches.

I know that Rolland Murphy of RGM is doing some pretty spectacular things with NOS Hamilton movements. have a look at this:

Man, I think I'de wear this watch upside down!

Anyway, what say you? A mix of vintage and contemporary! Or am I rocking the boat?

AND LASTLY WOULD YOU BUY ONE and WHAT WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO PAY FOR ONE?

    Thoughts???

p.s. 999 movement pics curtosy of Darlor watch restorations.

Good question... I have NO IDEA...

I would think it would bein the 42-44mm. Similar to that RGM in the picture...

    Thoughts?

if the case diameter (not incl. the crown) would be no larger than 42 -43 mm - I would be in !!
Price ?? Not sure...but if it would be outrageous from BALL, I would rather buy a pocket
watch separately and have the work done custom (for sure by someone less expensive than RGM though)

When I was at the Ball museum tour Marc (Mark ?, the Ball rep) mentioned a watch that might come out in the future. I wish I could remember what colorful term he used to descrbe it..... But he said it was in the 46mm size.

Put a nice pilot dial on the front of that movement, cased up with exhibition back like you show on the Hamilton and I would definitely go for it. Something in a 45-48mm perhaps similar to this (incl for illustrative purposes):

Use the tube layout and handset from the Night train and I think you'd have a winner... jm2c...
