Wow! What movement are they using in that watch? From the video it appears their is no beat/ticking of the second hand. Just a true sweeping motion. Just like a Seiko spring drive movement.

I wouldn't get overly excited just yet, the video could be using a computer rendered model as opposed to an actual working model.
In fact, unless they are ready to ship immediately, I'd say that's almost a certainty. They'd still have been in the pre-production phase when that was shot and edited together.

Almost certainly a rendering, but a very cool video — nice to see a return to tasteful, live-action imagery.

Thanks this was pretty nice, and much better than some of the past videos. As noted in the other threads this is not much of a jump from the existing Arabic to the Marvelight, just more of a natural progression. It really is just a dial change so I would not be surprised if these aren't showing up at the AD's this week or next. Having a video already would tend to support that point. Not certain how they got the Seiko SD sweep other than something to do with a slower frame rate that cancels the stutter. The lesser likely version is this is a preview of the function of the long awaited Ball in-house movement and it's one of these ultra high frequency that makes it virtually stutter free. I'm betting on the slow camera though.

I think there is a subliminal message embedded in that since after seeing this a few times I'm really liking this watch more every time I see it.

My diver Worldtime is very smooth - I think the heavier second hand helps - I've compared directly to a spring drive and was hard pressed to see the difference.

There are some more pictures here.

The video was filmed at Roosevelt Island, Antarctica between October and December 2013 while we were recovering equipment from our field camp.
The aircraft is a LC130 from the New York Air National Guard.

We were there for 4 summer seasons drilling ice core for climate research.
