    Hi Thomas.

I did not get anything like that with my U series ss bracelet. All I got was two 1.5mm hex wrenches. I am thinking that this may be loctite.

I would think that this is to use on your hex screws. Anyone else get this? I checked my screws and after 2 months of use, they have not moved, still tight and I didn't use loctite.

    Interesting stuff.

    cheers,
    Tim

Thanks Tim. Yes, it is a loctite. What is a loctite? A lubricant?:-S

Loctite is: an adhesive used to prevent bolts and screws from loosening and becoming unscrewed.

    Hey Thomas!

I'm still waiting for my bracelet in Singapore..... been a month and local AD told me 2 more to go....

How much did you pay for your bracelet and where did you get it from?

    Hi, my comments:

Loctite is, as Tim wrote, yes. Some watch owner use it for prevention, some not. If screws are very tide to twisting (oh, boy what an english, sorry) in most cases, Loctite is not necessary. But some screws are very easy with a short hold, than could be Loctite very usefull. But dont use much of it, only a few "dot" for fixing.

To the bracelet: I think, we talk about the ss bracelet for the U-series. The price at Sinn Germany directly is - if you order it together with a new watch - 120 - 135 Euro. The retail price (separate order) is now 190 Euro.

    cheers

Loctite is the trade name for a thread locking adhesive. There are several different levels of Loctite, depending on your usage. For screws that don't have to withstand a lot of vibration, the lowest level (purple or blue, depending on what's available) should be sufficient. I use the blue one on the pivot screws of my knives, and it has worked fine.

The most important thing is to clean the parts to be Loctited really well; acetone is perfect for this.
