    103 bracelet on ezm1?

    Hi guys-

Can anyone confirm that the 103/203 ti bracelet will work properly on an ezm1? It is my understanding that the 103ti uses the same case as the ezm1, so I would think it would be a perfect match.

    Thanks in advance.

found my answer in the middle of another fellow's Sinn invoice. 103/203/503 ti bracelet (503 being the ezm1, of course).

It will fit but may not come with solid end links. AFAIK only the Massiv bracelet will have SELs.

The 103/203 on Watchbuy's site does fit the EZM-1. Bought one for mine to test it. It has solid endlinks and assembled with no issues.

So could you buy SELs to replace the folded ELs on the original strap without having to buy the whole Massiv strap?

That I don't know for sure. If/when I pull the trigger on this, I'll be able to report on the results.

My experience with 103 bracelet SEL's on a newer EZM1 LE is no. Some have used SEL's on older EZM1's successfully. It depends on the particular bracelet.

Hmm. Might be a problem to let the pros sort out back at Sinn. Apart from noise and the feeling of solidity, are there any other differences between ELs and SELs? For instance do either of them mark the case such that putting a leather strap on later would reveal scratches?

Following on from that, the reset button on mine only resets to zero if the second hand is in the 50-59 position, from where it resets clockwise. Any reset that requires the hand to move anticlockwise always leaves it sitting at about +4secs. Is it time it went back for a service?

The SELs are more solid and don't rattle the way the hollow versions do. My Watchmaker did a pretty good job of adjusting the endlink so it would fit snugger, but that's hit and miss. Here's the links to compare:

And a shot looking at the end link and springbar from a between the lugs perspective:

A closeup of the lugs and SEL on Massiv bracelet:

And a shot of the caseback to show how well it fits between the lugs:

The reset on most 5100 watches are stiff and at times require two squeezes on the pusher to get a good reset. That's pretty normal and nothing to be concerned about.

    Number 61 says Cheers!
