    103 Handaufzug

How often are you guys winding it ?
    Daily ?
I find that it tends to stop after 24 hours... (stopwatch not activated)
    Is that normal?

I used to wind my Sinn 103 A Sa Hd every morning before work. However on occasion I would go a day and half (36 hrs) between winds. Also, if I was not going to wear the watch for an extend period, I would leave the crown unscrewed and just wind it once per day without screwing in the crown. This saves on on crown thread wear.

you need to condition the main spring first if its a new watch (handwound movement)...fully wind the watch and let it run till it comes to a complete stop...then repeat...do this several times and see how goes

    Re: 103 Handaufzug vs. 142

hey altreality, noticed you also have a 142.
can you tell me how your 103 feels on your wrist in comparison to the 142?

i have the 142, and am about to get the 103 HD as well.
but i'm used to having hefty watches (142 and panerai). i also have a seamaster gmt, which i love. but if i wear it after the 142 and the panerai, the seamaster feels somewhat tiny.

and the seamaster 41mm...same as the 103, right?

    any thoughts?
    thanks!

I have the 103 Hd as well and wind it every morning at about the same time. Like Purgridiron did, I leave the crown unscrewed until I wear it.

    Enjoy the watch.

To be honest, I prefer the feel of the 142 the size and the weight (even the Ti one). Could be the bracelet...

The 103 is less hefty.. and I assure you it will be "tiny" after the 142...

hmm, this is a bit disconcerting.
especially because the seamaster already gets less wrist time due to its puniness (in comparison w/the panerai and 142).

would you happen to have a side-by-side shot of the 103 and the 142?

i'm going to see the seller this friday, with the intention of buying it.
honestly, the size is giving me second thoughts. plus it comes w/only the croc band, not the ss bracelet...so it's already losing some weight
